FAQs: About Intuitive Edge
Intuitive Edge launched in October 2014
We currently support 37 golf clubs and businesses
Accountability, experience, and expertise.
Using volunteers can be great in some areas. But when it comes to using them for marketing, 1 of 2 things usually happens:
1. They don’t have the experience or expertise, but are willing to try to help the club. Whilst dedicating their time is admirable, their limited experience means they can’t capitalise on all opportunities, and growth stalls.
2. They have expertise in marketing, but are limited on time. With it being a volunteer role, when other things come up they take priority. So, marketing efforts for the club fall to the bottom of the list after the first 2-3 months, meaning activity is limited and results suffer. Much like with a very busy manager who has marketing on their list of responsibilities but 100 other things to look after.
So, whilst it might feel like you’re ‘saving’ money by using volunteers as no money is ‘going out’, so much less money is ‘coming in’ than it could be, and that lost revenue typically costs the club far more than investing in expert support in the first place.
On top of that, we bring industry expertise, trends, feedback, and other useful information to help the club thrive and maximise the return from its marketing.
No you don’t.
Our sales team is there to help clubs that are light on sales focused office staff, so we manage everything from enquiry to application on behalf of the club. This has a dramatic impact on results for clubs without the time or expertise to sell effectively.
If you have a sales team, or a sales savvy manager with the time to manage enquiries – great! We’ll work with them to maximise sales as a result of the marketing work we manage for you.
Our clients saw on average 99 new members per club in 2024.
Our best result is for a club that received 192 new members in 1 year, all converted directly by our sales team.
We do everything possible to make people feel they are dealing with the golf club directly.
Everything is set up ‘as the club’, with no mention of Intuitive Edge at all, so prospects think they are talking with someone at the club.
We never mention Intuitive Edge unless someone directly asks.
Yes it is. Our sales team is completely based in the UK
No. Most of our clients have a focus on growing their membership, and we do a lot of work in that area.
But, we work across most aspects of golf club marketing – from green fees to functions and events – as well as internal communications, such as members’ newsletters, surveys, and much more.
We also work with hotels and country clubs with gyms and health spas to grow membership in those areas too.
We offer both fixed fee and performance-based agreements.
Our fee structure is competitive, and in many instances we offer a money back guarantee to give committees peace of mind that their marketing investment is safe.

We adopt AI to help improve and streamline processes, assist with research, and sometimes just for fun.
But we never use it for the fundamentals of our creative content or the strategies we develop. Our business has been built on understanding the golfer, the golf market, and years of experience about the best ways to resonate with both to achieve the best results.
Whilst it remains to be seen how AI will integrate into our lives in the years that come, we are committed to maintaining authenticity and creativity.
Using the tool, not relying on it.
At Intuitive, Artificial Intelligence pairs with Authentic Intelligence. Always.
FAQs: Working With Us
A number regularly referenced is £10 per day, so approximately £300 per month. However, with smart targeting and comprehensive follow up process you can achieve strong results from around £200 per month.
The more you spend, the more times your ad will be shown, but whatever the budget the campaign strategy needs to be sound for the spend to turn into results.
Yes. Very.
Instagram and Facebook are incredibly powerful for golf club advertising, particularly for membership and visitors. X (Twitter) does not deliver results anywhere near as strong as Instagram or Facebook, and TikTok is yet to prove results on a consistent basis.
Our advice for the vast majority of golf clubs, particularly if you have a limited marketing budget, is to focus your paid advertising on Instagram and Facebook.
6% is typically considered a strong conversion rate from social media advertising around membership. I.e. for every 100 enquiries you generate 6 convert.
This may sound low, but with the cost per lead around £4, you’ll get 6 x your membership subs for every £400 spent.
Yes. Most golf clubs’ SEO (search engine optimisation – in other words, how high you rank on Google) is limited. If SEO isn’t regularly monitored its results can suffer. However, Google ads are much more manageable and trackable, and whilst you need to put budget into it it’s often more cost effective than investing in SEO.
Fundamentally, by offering an attractive product, and continuously investing in making your course and facilities better. This will help attract members AND keep your existing members with you, and retaining members is a key part of growing your membership as a whole.
In terms of how to attract new members, a simple answer applicable to most clubs is to invest in professional sales and marketing support – either staff or agency – as this allows you to:
1. Raise awareness of your club by effectively using modern marketing methods such as social media, Google, email, Whatsapp, and more to get across key messages you want people to know about what you have to offer.
2. Grow the perception of your club and interest in it by strategically highlighting key aspects of your facilities, recent customer feedback, the benefits you’re seeing from the latest investment, etc, to show golfers why they should consider your club and what sets you apart from competitors.
3. Generate enquiries through lead generation techniques via social media, your website, and various other channels to keep your database growing full of current, accurate contact information from interested golfers.
4. Sell effectively by creating a robust, consistent sales process to manage all enquiries efficiently and effectively. Regular communication across multiple channels is the key to maximising your conversion rate in membership sales.
And with the right partner, the return will way outweigh the investment.
There are a number of things you can do here. Some are quick and simple, some will take a little longer, but here are 6 things that will improve your club’s online presence:
1. Modernise your website, making it both visually appealing and easy to navigate on all devices.
2. Ensure all your social channels are on brand and consistent in their appearance, so when someone goes on it there is no doubt its your club. This includes both the setup of the pages and the style of the posts themselves to ensure they align with your brand image and values.
3. Improve your basic SEO so you appear for searches for your club. This can usually be done in the CMS (Content Management System) of your website, and your provider can give more specifics on where you need to go within the CMS to make SEO changes.
4. Consider Google ads for key areas of focus (membership, green fees, etc), so you appear above searches for your competitors. Be careful here though, as your ads need to be setup correctly or you can spend money and achieve nothing. Speak to somoene who knows what they’re doing before diving in.
5. Ensure your Google business is up to date and accurate – contact details, opening times, overview, social links, etc.
6. Ask for reviews – typically on Google so people searching can see recent positive feedback right there as they search.
